I had a very positive experience with Crystal Blue Plumbing, specifically with Kevin the plumber. I called in the middle of the afternoon and he was onsite within 2 hours. He was quick and efficient, spending only about an hour to resolve my plumbing issue. I'll definitely call these guys again if needed.

I was having toilet issues and 2 plumbers had already came out the last 2 days and said they fixed it. The toilets functioned for less then a few hours before I had to call another plumber. The 3rd plumber (and 3rd plumbing company) from Crystal Blue ran a camera in the line and cleared out the roots and then double checked to make sure he actually fixed the problem. He even came out on Saturday evening. I'd give Crystal Blue and the plumber 10 stars if i could!!!!
Shawn - Carmichael, CA
Technician was prompt and did a fantastic job. I have worked with many contract plumbers befor so I was ready for an over inflated price, at which time I would turn him away, however his quote was fair and the workmanship was quality. He took the time to explain the problem and explore solutions with me and was over all very professional and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this company. They also managed to fit me in on same day service!
Out to perform annual heating maintenance. Amana split system attic. Duct work is falling apart. Duct work in really bad shape, past the point of repair, need to replace. Went thru furnace and checked parts. Electrical looks ok. Control board not burnt spots. Cleaned burners and flame sensor. Checked variable speed motor. Ok starting to get dusty. See pictures. Hot surface ignitor ok. Checked system safety features. System working as it should. Washed filter, dried and re installed.Problem is you have a high efficiency unit, with bad duct work.. loosing efficiency. 13 supplies and 2 returns. Emailed quote for replacement of duct work
Returned to hydro-Jett main sewer line and clear root blockage. When we arrived the cleanout was full of water, put the jetter in the line and cleared the backup. Jetted the line multiple times running the camera down and clearing 80% of the root ball, the only roots left are to big for the hydro-jetter to clear. The intrusion is at the city cleanout connection and the tree is the neighbors right on the property line. Left the customer with a spot repair estimate and they will contact us when they decide what they are doing.
Customer had his cleanout cap pop open and waste came out of it, upon diagnosis the cleanout was full and had signs of a blockage between the street and the cleanout. Snaked the sewer main clearing the line and ran water down for over ten minutes with no issues. Ran the camera down the line and located a root ball, recommend hydro-jetting. Customer wants us out to hydro-Jett the line and will schedule with dispatch come Monday.
Performed a whole home plumbing inspection, all toilets could use a rebuild because all the parts are degrading. Hall bathroom needs a new shower valve, three handle valves are prone to cause leaking and need constant care. The laundry shut-offs are old and the left one is leaking at this time. The laundry sink faucet is leaking from multiple areas and needs to be replaced. The master bathroom pop-up does not work and there is numerous items clogged in the drain under the strainer. The laundry stand pipe for the drain should be updated to 2 inch pipe for a new washer, but you can drain into the wash basin to the left of the washer connections. Both shower heads are leaking and need to be replaced. Upon checking the water pressure in the home my gauge read 87 psi which is 17 psi over what your house pressure should be around, highly recommend a prv because this is an unsafe pressure level for the fixtures and the water lines in the home. All water lines in the home are copper and seem t
Performed furnace diagnostic 22 yr old Payne split system closet. Found that nest is only hooked up with 4 wires, no common. Also when furnace turns on blower comes on immediately, control board showing flashing lites like the polarity is switched it is not. Even tried switching the polarity still same problem. looks to be a bad control board at a minimum, won’t know if anything is going on till we can get it to run correctly. Gas line into unit wedged up with bolt... see pictures.Due to age of system might want to look into replacement vs repairs. Found furnace not turning on correctly, found control board is flashing.Emailed estimate client will decide what they want to do.
We would disconnect the flue, shorten it. Lift unit and coil up then slide under the unit supports to hold the unit up, as well as a new secondary drain pan, then run the drain line out with 3/4 pvc.Today lifted unit, unit had been screwed to platform, they even screwed the coil down. So coil could leak. Unit now sits on pressure treated lumber and coil is now in pan. Secondary drain runs out the back of unit and out the gable vent. Tested system before departure. Ac running and draining ok at this time.
Was able to repair and reuse cast iron toilet flange did not have to install a ABS flange, reinstall the toilet with wax ring, bolts and caulking. ( no floor repair) . Also repair A small section of three-quarter galvanized piping under the house, cut out a small section installed wersbow adapters and three-quarter pipe. Ran water throughout the home everything is operational found no additional leaks.
Performed ac diagnostic on 26 yr old split inter-city unit. Found blower making a lot of noise. After inspection of blower compartment found water in blower and then inspected ac indoor coil found system freezing up. Appears to be draining correctly but can’t tell for sure. Outside found more frozen lines and found system low charge 44/165 coil is freezing. Could be low charge also could be bad metering device.Went over options with owner. Went with charging system and signing up on the maintenance plan.Charged system pressure got better for now. The refrigerant went somewhere, so the question is where and how fast. Only time will tell. But now as a member we can check and see during our visits.
Perform full cut-in R-8 Ductwork. Installed 2 1/2 ton American Standard gas/electric package unit on roof 16 seer two stage Heat, two stage cool with true variable speed blower. Run hand auger through toilet in master bath to remove a clip on toilet bowl cleaner. Removed toilet bowl cleaner and customer tested toilet for operation. Toilet is running good.
Performed ac tune up Carmichael. Found system working just in rough shape. In attic found evidence of rodents. See pictures. Found unit doesn’t have secondary drain pan and system is leaking onto platform, see pictures. Cleaned return air filter grill. Changed filter. Clean outside condenser coils. Checked refrigerant pressures ok. System reached temp and turned off on its own. All ac parts in range at this time. The unit should have a secondary drain pan, and drain line. To prevent water damage to house. With the age of equipment want to watch how much money we put in to it, because we won’t see a return on investment.Emailed options for signing back up for another year of maintenance, and for adding the secondary drain pan.
Inspector approved the current expansion tank located on the tankless unit. He wanted to see blue glue And primer on the venting, we remove part of the venting to accommodate his request and finish strapping down a small section of the gas line
Performed ac diagnostic on 26 yr split system attic. Found system not turning on the fan. Ac condenser comes on but no fan, tested fan by itself and with heat, nothing. Checked blower capacitor 12.5@10 out of range but not by much. Found that control board isn’t producing power to turn on blower. Took control board off of unit and found what looks to be a burnt and broken soldier point. See pictures.Replacement of primary control board. Disconnected power to unit, removed old board installed new board per manufactures specifications. And then tested system. System cooling when I plugged system in to test. System working well for now.Keep an eye on blower capacitor and blower has slight vibration.House cooled from 83-81 degrees.
Carmichael ca Completed plumbing maintenance, water heater is a five-year-old GE 38 gallon gas located in the garage, it has no expansion tank, incorrect earthquake straps, and no gas dirt leg. Run auger through toilet to unclog Ran auger through toilet a couple different times to clear, did not pull back any debris, unknown blockage. Flushed toilet severel times, toilet is running/operating fine.
Talked to tenets about issues with toilet. (when toilet is flushed first time of the day no problems. if toilet is used within another 4 to 5 hours and/or toilet flushed more than more than once in combination of handwashing sink in the same bathroom water pipes begin to back up this is caused by two conditions restriction in pipe not allowing system to drain properly to a wet vent. or air vent for this sewer line is plugged. (possible causes of vent being plugged. vent going to roof is restricted due to possible material back flowing from previous restriction, plug in air vent and or stuff plug-in air vents from top birds, rats dropping stuff down air vent, leaves. Vent has been disconnected due to possible remodels that were done above disconnection sewer line from vent.) it is possible both issues are occurring at the same time due to information that I have gotten from tenets at first it could’ve just been a restriction in line but due to the current condition it appears the v
Install Navien tankless npe 210s with 60 ft of 1 inch gas line, new venting, expansion tank, isolation valves, condensate line, t and p line, removal and disposal of the old water heater. This unit has a comfort pump. This will be placed in the garage and will come with warranty and 1 yr service plan that includes a tankless flush. We are returning within the next couple days to address issues with the new gas line the system is temporarily being ran off the exaisting half-inch line everything is working
Main line tie in needs corrections also needs a test tee so line can be properly tested for inspection currently there’s a combo and fernco fittings with the offset a 4 inch wye would be a better solution to resolve this issue. Minor excavation required To install new fittings. Rough in height for laundry box is not correct needs to be 42 inches from the floor. Made corrections to main line tie in installed service tee so test ball could be inserted to fill line properly filled line above ceiling height no leaks everything is holding jimmy can call for reinspection

Due to the windows on the side of the house and not having proper clearances the only way an outside unit would be able to fit would have to be right above the ground because of this I don’t recommend the unit be put there #no we are Returning Monday to install a Navion tankless
